Hello all new here. I am looking at buying the new 2025 rebel. I'm a little nervous as I own a 2005 3500 diesel. I bought this truck new off the lot. The a/c went out every summer since new. I took it in under warranty every summer got the same reply "we got it this time". Didn't get fixed until I ripped out and replaced myself. Love the truck. But quality and customer service have me gun shy

For the most part all 3 Ford, GM and RAM make a good truck. All three have some evil ones out there. My 09 Silverado was "one of those trucks." I think you have to look at the dealership where you make your purchase. Some are better suited to service the cars and trucks they sell. They have a larger service staff and are able to train and equip them with the proper diagnostics to do the job. The larger volume dealers have a better support from the mother ship. That's not to say the smaller dealerships are incapable.
In my younger more active years I was hard on the trucks sometimes. This one not so much. I use the truck as a truck, but I don't have to beat it to pieces or drive it hard. What I'm saying is evaluate the dealership as much as the truck or more so. In all fairness to all the dealerships RAM really puts them thru the verification process for warranty work. It isn't easy for them.

I have a 19 Laramie, most comfortable, fuel efficient, and smooth driving truck I've ever had. Not sorry I bought it.

As you know the 25 is a new release and has a few bugs but they will get worked out.
I have owned many Dodges and they were great. Now no longer Dodge, but Stellantis. Just google it.

My 22 Ram has been flawless. I do know all the manufacturers have some bugs even with refreshes. I’m currently looking to buy a 2025 Chevy 3500 and have been looking at their forums and they have some recurring electronic things they have yet to figure out with the refresh in 24. Not looking to get back into Ram 3500 (had a 19), and no Ford due to still running CP4 fuel pump which is a bad idea.

I am looking to get another 3rd gen Dodge 3500. Are you looking to sell it?

What else is there besides quality and customer service? If your gut says no to that, then run, don't even think about buying one, no matter who makes it.

There is absolutely no way to tell until you buy it if it will be a good one. I've heard of people getting great trucks, but in the past thirty years of trying Ford, Chevy, and now Ram, I've not been able to get a really good one off the lot. I guess I'll try Honda next. 🤮

My '21 sucks, and if people ask me if they should buy one I tell them no. It's not been worth the hassle for me. Leaking window, truck shutting off for no reason, water flooding into the cab from the hood drains getting clogged, on and on the problems go. The local dealer really sucks too, which has made my experience just that much worse.

Yeah I have water in bad rainstorms come in above visor. Lol. I thought it was marker lights so I replaced with new gaskets didn't work. No I'm holding on to this truck. It has 310,000 miles but still not afraid to take it cross country. Just figured I'm retiring in 3 months figured I deserved a new more refined truck after 20 years. A gift to me lol

The dealership matters, big time. My brother bought a Ford F150, the year they changed to 1234yf, or yz, or whatever the new refrigerant is. His air went out in less than a year. His dealer told him to take it elsewhere, because they didn't have the new equipment, and they weren't spending the money for it. He had to go to a dealer 50 miles away. It continued going out every year, the last couple, at his expense, until he traded it in on a Ram.
