Went to crank my 2019 Ram 5.7L after starting it just fine and backing out the drive way it decided to sputter and jolt forward before dying in the street. I was able to limp it back in the driveway and tried to start it a couple more times to no avail. It now smells like fuel and burned plastic in the cab w/ that code “ service electronic throttle control”. When you do get it to turn over it just over idles and then dies, you can give it gas and it will stay running but when you let go of the throttle it dies. Having a tech come Monday but I can’t find any burned wires or popped fuses. HELP

There must be codes stored. That is step one in my mind. Got a scanner? If not, go get one. This sounds like a failed sensor to me.
