Couple months ago purchased a 2024 1500 Laramie and lately have been noticing an issue. When I back-up I feel what seems like the rear collision system engaging even when nothing is there. I have even turned off the rear sensor (button) and it still happens. I have also noticed it a couple times when I put truck in drive and start to pull away. I seems like the collision (front & rear) systems are engaging just enough that I can feel it but not enough that it stops the vehicle from moving. Has anyone had this same issue. Thought I would check here in case it was something I might have done in the settings before I take it back into the dealer.

Thanks.

The rear sensor has a tendency to go off prematurely, especially around inclines. Been like that since 2019, not sure if there is a fix. Mine does it about 1 or 2 times a year. pretty rare but a naissance when it happens.

Just note you can turn it off permanently if you wish through the Uconnect screen. I would leave the dash toggle back on, so your rear radar still works.

Unless they have changed something between the 23 and 24 models, I think your truck is broken.

Turning off the rear park sensors should disable both the park sensor indication and the emergency braking. I can't back up a trailer unless I turn it off at the switch.

My owners manual specifically says, "The driver can disable the automatic braking function by turning ParkSense off via the ParkSense switch" and that's the way mine works.
