Scheduling OTA update not working

So I have been receiving a notification on my Uconnect 12 that there was a new update available and I could update now or schedule the update. The truck has to be in park and ignition off. I schedule it to happen overnight and when I come to the truck the next day, drive around running errands and go to shutoff the truck. It let's me know the update is still available. Does the scheduling update not work? Does it mean I have to hit update now and them shut off the car and walk away?

That's what I did when it came up on mine as I got home and turned off the truck.
Said it would take about 45 minutes. So I let it update overnight.

So you hit update now and just let it do it's thing?

Yep, that was all. It said it would try twice if it needed to.
Came out in the Morning and it was updated.
