Sales codes and why?

Okay I am new at the ram sales codes and why I want to add them to the computer. I get the led lights no resistors have to be added by enabling the feature. But, sales codes and enabling features are different. Why do I want to go in and tell it I installed tow hooks or mud flaps? What is the purpose?

You won’t need to do that , just electronics or upgrading the drive train .
