This nothing new for phurd. My 2015 had a beautiful orange rear differential at delivery. Should not be a surprise, remember phurd has owned the lions for decades of mediocrity 🙄

My brand new 2018 F-150 had the orange differential, rear axle, rear brake components and exhaust hangers.
I spent days hitting it with a wire brush and painting it.
Had I looked underneath at the dealer the day I bought it I would have passed on the truck.

That's pretty much the way they've been doing it for years. Other manufacturers too. It's just surface stuff but sure gets your attention. My 2013 mustang was ordered by me. Built and delivered within 3 weeks. Not as much rust on the rear axle, but some. I coated the axle.and rear cast spindle components in black cosmoline from Eastwoods. They still look new.

I'd rather not have the bumpers and wheel wells rust under the seams like my 2017 ram did. No idea why it did that. I'm very anal.
