hi, i am looking to install running boards on my 2019 1500 quad cab classic , every set of boardsi look at for this truck say installs on factory studs already on rocker panels from factory but when i get under truck to look for these factory installed mounting studs there are none there just the holes were I think they should be anyone else have same issue .

Mine had studs, I had to run a thread chaser over them because of the build up of paint, 8 - 1.25 mm There is 3 sets on each side of my truck, look on the backside of the rocker panels.

thanks for the fast reply unfortunately I just looked again there are no studs on mine at all, I am going to shoot a pic of both inside rocker panels in a little .

Once again people with classics need to stop posting on this forum. You have a 4th gen, not a 5th gen.

You need steps from an 18, not a 19.

Right off the website, look at the directions. “Peel off the tape and expose the holes”

My 4th gen had studs and so did my 5th gen.

I’m going to take a guess and say your truck came with steps from the factory?

Here is a pic of what they look like on mine 19 bighorn crew cab. There are three clusters like this on each side.
