Just curious what everyone is putting on for aftermarket running boards and mud flaps. Would love to see some photos before I make a decision. Thanks!

Went with the MOPAR matte black boards myself... took about a week to arrive after purchase.

I posted up in another thread - I went with GoRhino Dominators but many have gotten the RB10/RB20 line

WeatherTech flaps. Easy install. Look good.
Steelcraft STX300 boards. Boards not installed yet....delivered today. Stay tuned for pix this weekend. Im hoping they work out.

Installed mopar Off-Road RAM running boards today along with Mopar Splash Guards. Really love the running boards, but the splash guards really have a design flaw. The splash guards fit the curves of the truck well but have a large gap between the fender liner and the splash guard. This causes the guards to collect about 10 pounds of sand and ice each during snow storms. Don't know how Mopar could completely miss this during design. Nice product with a disastrous design flaw. Would recommend weathertech.

I am looking at getting power hideaway running boards for my Longhorn Quad Cab - either of the following two.

1.) Mopar Accessory 82215288AB Automatic Power Running Boards (same available on Laramie and Limited).

2.) AMP Research 76240-01A PowerStep Electric Running Boards Plug N' Play System.

Both list at same price of $1,500.

Am leaning toward AMP's, as they are lighted (with included rocker-panel mounted LED lights) when doors open.
Mopar's are not lighted. My truck's factory under-mirror Puddle Lights won't help to light-up running board when door is opened.

My local dealership wont install AMP's, only Mopars (for ~$500 installation cost), but say if AMP's are installed properly, they won't void the Factory Warranty on my truck.

Lot of posts stating that the fixed boards reduce the sandblasting of the side of the truck and flairs during winter and running on gravel roads. Several with power boards on this forum swapping to fixed boards for that reason. I went with mopar off road boards and feel that will help with paint damage.

I have Amp Research power boards. Im unable to upload the video from my phone, but loaded a picture. Only pro is they have entry lights, ok only cons are the plug into the OBD port (if you need it to monitor something) and you can't control them from the screen. Looking into flaps now.

I went with some Iconic steps off of Real Truck on sale. Had to modify brackets to tuck them another 1.5" closer to body. Love em.

More info on other post here.

In total agreement with rationale for fixed boards in harsh winter areas. However, power boards OK for me as I live on "left coast", so minimal issues with winter roads pulverizing my rockers.

Decision to go with power boards is because they drop lower that fixed and thus better assist with actually stepping-up into the truck.

Good point about AMP's occupying OBD-II port, but AMP does offer OBD-II pass thru harness (76404-01A) to allow second/alternate connection to OBD-II port.

Why I would care to control running boards from my dash screen? I really only want them to deploy when a door is opened.

Although (upon further reflection), having them down with all doors shut would permit me to more easily wash off the step portion when hand-washing my truck.

WeatherTech flaps. Easy install. Look good.
Steelcraft STX300 boards. Boards not installed yet....delivered today. Stay tuned for pix this weekend. Im hoping they work out.

Well, I for one am anxious to see them... Wife's very first comment is that she misses the boards from my old truck and I'm trying to figure out what will work & look best on my Crew cab

Really! I purchased my truck in December and I've been inquiring and they say they can't get the black side steps yet. In Canada of course lol

12 sets in Chicago warehouse last week when I ordered mine and had them delivered two days later. That Trump wall on the Canadian border makes RAM life difficult.

There's a trick to that. If you have pressure or weight on them and close the door, they'll stay out until you clear them.

I'm very anxious to see pics as this is the exact setup I'm looking at, especially with the Billet Silver.

Here’s a few pictures...They look better in person...my photography skills are not good. I originally thought the STX300 boards where too light in tone. But now that they are mounted I really like them. WeatherTech flaps also seem pretty good.
