Running Board Touch-Up

Realized when I was washing the truck this weekend that I scratched my power running boards.... must have been a rock I hit on site or something.

Any recommended paint products for touching it up? I figured matte black spray paint.... but I'm not sure if I should prime first and/or seal. Thoughts?

I am currently not in need 0of touchup but I'm curious about the answer. I dont think it's plain spray paint.

They sell black textured spray paint. I was going to test it out on some cardboard and see how it compares to the factory finish on those power running boards. I'll report back once I try. I figured I can't be the only one who's had this issue
