Had my Rough Country 2” lift Coilovers installed along with Mopar lift kit upper control arms in front. In the back I had Eibach strurts and Eibach 1” lift springs also installed. I am some what confused with the overall outcome.
I have 2020 Ram 1500 with V6 which I get is about 200 pounds lighter than Hemi.
Before install My fronts were at 36.5” inches from ground to the fender and back was 39”. I had about 2.5” inches lean. My goal was to narrow that lean down and still lift the truck up sligthly.
Now, after the install I am sitting at 40” front and back is at 39.75”. I was expecting to see 2.5” increase in front as I have read that most of the people with RC Coilovers even though they are adverrising it at 2”. This would have made my front be at around 39”. My back was already at 39” so I wanted slight lean to it that is why I went with rear Eibach Shocks and Springs which in general give you about an 0.8-1” lift. Pretty much I did get about 0.8” lift which made my back sit at 39.75”. If the front was right i would have been sitting with 0.75” higher on the back which would have been spot on what I was going for.
My question to all of you out there. How did I get 3.5” lift upfront using those RC Coilovers advertised as 2” lift. Is it because of V6 vs Hemi?
I might need to pull them out and go with Bilstein upfront as if this does not settle it is to high upfront for my liking. I am glad I did out the updated Mopar control arms and they seem to be seating at really good angle and don't look to stretched.
Anybody wants to buy the RC Coil-overs off me lol.
Thanks for any feedback.
