Rotary shifter to Column Shifter swap

Hello, I have 2021 Ram 1500 and I want to ditch the idiotic engineering that is the rotary shifter. Has anyone swapped it to a column shifter (like it should have been in the first place, as all trucks should be)? If so, how can I get mine swapped. Thank you

buy a new truck with column shift. 2500s. nothing wrong with dial shift many brands using them. it would cost you multi $thousands to replace it. everything is electronic

They're all FAKE shifters now days. I don't see why people get so upset over a simple and much easier dial.

I don't get it either. Someone once told me it made their truck feel cheap.

I never understood it either, thier all automatics and all electronic. The dial takes over less room, doesn't block the center screen and is easier and faster to use.

They’re good when done like Ram did, actually freeing up traditional shifter space for storage etc.

A lot of others just slap a dial where a lever once was with no practical benefit.

Whether lever or dial, they are all just sending electronic signals to a computer about gear selection you are hoping for. No mechanical connection of any kind.

The only new truck with a “real” shifter that I am aware of comes with 3 pedals but is unfortunately bolted to a 4 cylinder Tacoma.

I believe even the Cummins HD is now electronic with the new ZF.
