Had this happen to me years ago with a 2003 Maxima that was white and hit yellow painted lines...body shop removed it $200 later.

Please do not ever spray WD-40 onto your paint. There are tons of car detailing youtube channels. Pan the organizer does alot of non bias reviews of products. Ammo NYC has videos on how to clean some really nasty cars.

Just an update. My insurance paid for a body shop to fix (after $100 deductible) to the tune of $2100. Almost all lower body black trim was replaced (w oem) including wheel well liners, ends of bumpers, even all new running boards/steps. Looks nice, glad to have truck back after >week.
