I've owned several half ton trucks with the Ram 1500 being my current one and ride quality overall on half tons are no problem. I'm interested in 3 quarter tons but hear they're stiff as hell due to the beefy suspension/frame setups. So my question is what are the real world experiences when it comes to 3 quarter ton ride quality? TIA!

They arnt that bad. Basically they ride like half tons used to decades ago. Most of the rough ride comes from LT tires with 70-80psi in the tires. The new rams with rear-coils are smoother but they still have a solid front axle.
