RF hub failed - now I know

Glad I found this thread. I have a 2020 1500 Rebel. 2 days ago, the battery was dead and truck had to be jump started. Battery was a DieHard, newer battery I replaced in 2024. After I jumped the truck, it ran fine all day battery was reading around 13 volts. Truck sat overnight and then when I tried to start it the next day, dead again. Tried to jump the truck again and the truck wouldn’t even jump start, so I took the old battery out, and got a brand new DieHard battery (manufactured 4/2026) and put it in the truck. Upon connecting the battery got in the truck and the “Push brake then start button” message comes on the dash, but upon attempting such nothing happens. The interior lights come on when I open the door but nothing else. I also did notice that my key fob is not working either when pushing the buttons to unlock/lock/remote start. I replaced the third brake light seal and siliconed around the gasket years ago when I first got the truck. The truck has just over 47,000 miles on it.

I also have the SiriusXM Guardian, and can control features like a lock/unlock, and remote start from my cell phone. I tried all of those features on the RAM remote application, and the truck does not respond to anything. Trucks getting towed to the dealer tomorrow. Going to advise them that I believe it’s the RF module and hope they listen to me.

Honestly, what do you want them to do? The tow truck companies won't tow you, you should be bitching about them and boycott all things tow truck related in Toronto.
Well… a recall would be fantastic—warranted at this point. At the very least, send a technician to reprogram the module remotely? (it can be done, they just don’t want to do it) Most importantly, I haven’t been able to get in touch with a single person at Dodge who gives a ****. I’m bothered more by the customer service experience than anything else.

The tow trucks can’t do anything because the parking garage is uniquely tight, and I guess I’m too far down for it to be feasible. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sure, that would be nice, but recalls for non safety related issues are extremely rare.

Pay a mobile tech to do it and be done. Problem solved
