Picked up a high mileage 2019 QC Lone Star 4X4 5.7 (non e-torque) 3.92 about two months ago.
Drove well on the test drive, check engine light was on 1/4 of the way home.
Water was dripping out of the head liner. Replaced the 3rd brake light and sealed the back window, no more leakage.
Replaced ALL fluids in the truck other than trans fluid.
Replaced the spark plugs and coils. Having occasional misfires on 1 and 2 and consistent misfires on 8 and more than that on 6. Trying to work through the issue.
Heading out on a 3000 mile road trip towing a 4700 trailer with probably another 500 or 700 pounds of cargo in it, would really like the engine to be running right by then. Was able to swap my Sport mirrors for factory tow mirrors with someone else here in town. They are black textured rather than color matched gray, but now I have the tow mirrors that I wanted and didn't have to pay a penny.
I'll look for the engine issues thread in the main forum and elaborate on some of this.
But, my God does ride well (other than a worsening minor clunk at the left front).
I am not in love with THIS truck, but boy do I love the DT. I had a 2004 quad hemi 2WD for several years and really liked it. It was bright red so we named it Clifford (The Big Red Dodge). The new truck is Jack, bought it in Jacksonville FL.
