Now that the 25s are out and getting wrecked, I’m wondering about fitting the passenger screen into an older DT
Mine is a frankenstei. 2019 1500 Bighorn with UC5 12in.

Does anyone know if the passenger screen only works with the new 14in?

Does the 12in have what it needs to run the additional screen?

How much bcm involvement happens here. I’m guessing 2019 bcm wouldnt be equipped if involved.

If someome has access to a passenger side unit, I’d love to try to fit it.

I am going to try and install one in my 22. I have everything but wiring, so just the screen unit and trim. I am sure at minimum a 23+ bcm would be required and guessing a 25+ radio module, not so sure the 14.5 screen is required even though all pass screens have that paired with it. Will also need which I have the floor console usb/hdmi bezel that has the phone chargers. And I am also guessing the module mounted on the back side of the floor console which all the console wiring runs through including the hdmi port. All guesses at this point but between research and the physical parts I have in hand using common sense and logic tells me if there is any hope due to the completely different canbus system in the 25+ trucks there will be many parts needed to attempt in a 19-24.

I'm hoping with my 23 cloned radio that has the network port operational and running the 12" digital cluster paired with a 23 bcm decoder module it's a good start.

I will report back once I get a chance to take out the upper glove box and attempt to mount the passenger screen in its place, step 1.
