Remote Start

I have a 2018 Laramie with a remote starter factory installed. It does not seem to work once I get a couple of hundred feet away. It will definitely not work unless there is line of site and nothing in the way. I wish I had the uconnect so I could use my phone. Lesson learned. The dealer said I could always have an after market remote system installed. It seems like a waste of money, they could have put a quality one in when they built the truck.

A couple hundred feet seems reasonable to me for a handheld device.
