So my dad currently has a 2019 Limited and loves it (as I'm sure anyone would). He is currently looking at the possibility of getting a new truck. From what I can see you can spec 2021 ram rebel with everything that the Limited has for about $10k less. Can anyone say if anything is different between the two that I'm missing?

Comparing the two on paper won't really show you the true differences. The Limited is all about refinement and luxury where as the Rebel is more about offroading. Yes you can get leather in the Rebel but it isn't the same, and the ride will be rougher. The only way to truly appreciate and decide is to take them both out for an extended test drive. I ended up going with the Limited when I had to choose between the two.

20 in wheels, power side steps, adaptive LED lights, just what comes to mind offhand...might be a few more things. Plus it's a whole different look obviously.

Shocks, springs and tires can make a big difference in feel and ride, and all those are different between the two. As mentioned, go test drive a Rebel in the spec you want.

I completely agree that a test drive should happen but unfortunately the closest one that has air suspension is too far away for his schedule. With the air suspension will the ride still be rougher?

It should be softer than spring of course, however I've driven in a Limited before, it didn't feel really that much more comfortable to my Rebel. I've had many people compliment the smooth ride of my truck. The Duratrac tires do make a slight hum at freeway speeds due to their aggressive profile, but that's about it.

Just note that trucks on the lot typically have the air pressures pumped up to prevent flat spotting. Make sure they adjust them down to 55F / 45R as per the door decal. Otherwise, you will likely be riding in a truck pumped up to 60 psi.

Top reasons for me were the ventilated seats and the 360 camera...which I believe the Rebel cannot option.

I think the Rebel also has a different 4WD system than the Limited.

I test drove a limited and then a rebel, but thought the rebel package was above the limited until reading this. I'm happy with my leather package rebel.

It's not possible to get a Rebel with everything the Limited has. For instance, the Limited comes with better LED headlights. And there are more comfort items, such as ventilated front and rear seats. You can't get those on the Rebel.

Like cdn.tbird said, it's difficult to compare them on paper. They are completely different driving experiences, even though they both drive well. The Limited is all about comfort, with lots of leather surfaces (and smells). The Rebel can be optioned with leather trimmed seats, but they don't feel as luxurious. And the rest of the interior is not leather.

There's not a big difference in ride comfort between any Ram 1500 with air suspension, and one without. I have one of each at home (both 2020's) and they are both very comfortable to drive and ride in.

You can get the surround view camera on the Rebel, but not ventilated seats. The Rebel does have a different standard transfer case, but starting with the 2021 models you can jopt for the same transfer case with auto 4wd that the Limited has.

They've added a bit more here and there to the Rebel, almost making it on par with a Laramie for availability features/options. If you look at the Ram website, the Rebel is even listed above the Laramie now, although that may be due to price (higher) than options. The 360 camera is an option for 2021.

The Longhorns and Limiteds (and TRX) have the LED projector headlights that are ranked best OEM lights in the truck world right now. The only lights that are in the same ball park are the Honda Ridgeline's, pending the new 2021 F-150 LED projector headlights being officially tested. That being said, the Rebel/Laramie/Bighorn (with upgraded headlights option) LED reflector headlights are no slouch.

The Longhorns/Limiteds have more leather, and a lot of it is real leather, not the synthetic stuff. Maybe that doesn't matter, but it is a difference.
Ventilated seats are nice. Got the rear ventilated seats in my Limited as well, which I believe are not offered on any other trucks, not even the new 2021 F-150. My father and brother-in-law appreciated that last summer.

Just a few differences off the top of my head. I am sure there are others I've forgotten.

The Rebel is meant to be a Raptor-lite or a TRX-lite type truck, although with some of the available options, that image is kinda distorted now.
The Limited is meant to be a luxury truck.
Nothing wrong with either, pick which one you like better and be happy. (y)

I like the gauge cluster better in the limited. Has a blue ring around the speed and tac. Others are just a shiny silver.
