I have a 2023 Big Horn. Thinking of trying to find a Rebel take off suspension. I don't really want to spend the money (over $1000) for the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup. I'm not looking to level and don't plan to go larger than 33's, probably 275/60/20 or maybe Rebel take off wheels. Mostly concered with ride quality. Will the Rebel suspension give me a better ride that the Big Horn suspension?

No. Not really. The Bilstein 4600's that come stock on the Rebel/ORG is a monotube OEM replacement shock. They aren't even valved to handle the extra one inch of lift from the longer springs. Whereas they will give a better ride than stock twin tubes, and they will last longer, they are just a base replacement shock. The extra inch of lift will get you those 33's though.

I drove a '24 BTS with the extra 1". Seemed to drive pretty nicely. It will give me an excuse to get side steps for the kids.

This is a good option too. I plan to go this route on my 2024. They will build them with the rebel coil.

Or you could look into the rough country coilovers too. Those are a bit cheaper.

If I ended up going aftermarket, probably do the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo. Though at this point, take offs for just a few hundred is about all I want to do. I saw someone selling the full setup for $200 in the classifieds, just won't ship.

As mentioned, the Rebel is just a set of OEM level mono shocks, though the 2019/2020 get the Bilstein piggybacks in the rear, they just went with monos on later years.

The front lift is purely from the taller spring, though based on measurements I've made, I suspect they also include the 33" tires they come with as part of that 1" lift.

Not worth the money to use someone's takeoffs unless it's free, specially if you plan on paying someone to do the install.

I can tell from side by side measurements, and from installed measurements, that ORP springs (when correlated correctly to the OEM Spring PN) are exactly 1" lift over non-ORP springs...see chart for conversions (sorry, I yellow highlighted mine).

Also, watch for Black Friday etc Eibach sales..I got the Pro-Truck Sports struts & shocks for ~$450 last year.

Your post is giving me ptsd from when Ram shipped several hundred BTS trucks with the wrong springs lol.

I also recommend eibach. When I got my warranty work done to put the proper springs on I got the dealer to install my eibachs for free. They've been great for 40k miles.

Ok, so sounds like it's not really worth it for the 1" if the shocks aren't much different than what I already have. If the 1" includes the tires, sounds like the springs would be around .5 inch.

Not sure I want to spend the money for aftermarket since it looks like that cost $500 - $1000+ just for the parts. Probably end up putting on the 33" tires with the current setup and see how I like it.
