To me, it looks like the bumpers are different on a Rebel compared to the other non TRX trims. Could you put a Rebel skid plate on a non Rebel bumper?

I have not unfortunately. I always assumed that saying came from the Ghost Rider comic or the movie with Nicholas Cage.
