Had my 2019 ram 1500 big horn in this past week for the replacement of the rear window leaking. They put in a new window and now the rear window does not slide open. Does anyone know is this a separate mechanism or will they need to order a whole new window again?

Has it worked since replacement? If not chances are they forgot to plug connector back in after replacing window.

It worked before the replacement. I am thinking that they either forgot to play something in or shorted something with a fuse potentially. Haven’t had much luck with the dealership on this fix.

Did they not test this before you left?

No, plus they didn’t even clean the water stain either.

If you dont want to fight with the dealer, blot that area lightly with hydrogen peroxide, the stain will disappear

As Scram says, the headliners clean up pretty easy. Which makes it even more disheartening that it wasn't cleaned before you picked it up.

Sounds like people were in a hurry. I hope they have the time to do it over since they didn't take the time to do it right.

Mine is leaking. Dealer threw a third brake light it under the extended warranty of the brake light. 2020 with 54k miles. This dealership forgot my appointment I had scheduled told me it was back glass frame and I'm SOL. The other dealer that is closer to me didn't return my phone call about my failed oil cooler 1 month ago or this leak. The dealer that did the brake light also did the oiler cooler... but only the part, they didn't cover replacing the contaminated coolant. I am disappointed in FCA quality and service.

And well you should be disappointed. The whole window thing is a debacle on the part of Stellantis. I had the leak, but mine was the seal not a crack in the frame. Killed my RF Hub and had mold in the carpet because it had been leaking for years. For me from the dealer it was "You have the same window as those covered in the extension of warranty, but for some reason your VIN is not included in the extension". I called Stellantis and we looked at the website together that shows your extensions, and sure enough mine didn't have that one (it did have the CHMSL one which mine is fine and isn't leaking there). SOL on the RF Hub, window and carpet. So I made an insurance claim on the consequential damage. Allstate covered my RF Hub and carpet but not the window. So I took the insurance money and did the RF Hub but not the carpet and used the carpet money to do the window at Safelite (replacement done right). I also got a lifetime warranty from Safelite on the glass and any consequential if it leaks. I treated the carpet myself and it looks good. The carpet cost was $200 higher than the window so I actually came out ahead.

Maybe you could somehow do an insurance claim? If you could tie the window leak to a weather event they will cover it. So be careful how you frame the story to them, no pun intended.

My insurance deductible is $1000. Window is $900 from mopar. I work in maintenance for a facility that is approx 5 acres under flat roof.... we have access to some seriously good roofing glue/ sealant. I am gonna cobble it for now.
