Rear window replaced because of leak

Just got my 2022 Rebel back after being in the shop for one month. Rear window took forever to show up. I had it replaced do to water leaking in during rainstorms. The new window makes all kinds of creaking and popping noises when I open and close it. The noise appears to be coming from the cable that tracks along the way. Has anyone else experienced this? Defective part or poor installation? Thanks

Defective part or poor installation?

Most likely a defective part, the cable and motor are pre-assembled, mount only one specific way and the instructions should be pretty clear.
Unless the technician was a moron, not unheard of.
