New here, so first of all hello everyone...

This is the first Ram I've owned. Always been a ford (diesel) guy but needed a half ton and didn't want complex turbo systems.. Anyway...

I was on my way home from work and suddenly my rear window exploded. It's a power sliding rear window and it was the passenger side fixed panel that shattered. That happens to be where my rear facing dash cam is mounted so i expected to see a rock or something. Video isn't 4k or anything, but i sure don't see anything hit it. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I know tempered glass does some strange things sometimes, but it was just weird. If it was 100+ degrees out i would assume temp had something to do with it, but it was sunny, about 72 degrees today.

There was another post on here a few months back about someone else having this happen.

Probably a flaw in the glass and you just happened to hit a bump or something just right to flex window instead way it broke. Insurance should get you a new window.

This happened to me today..... driving down the highway at 80mph and the rear window of my '21 Ram 1500 Limited shattered out. I had the defrost on the rear windows because they were fogging up. The glass shattered out and landed on my bed cover.....

Did you ever look into this issue more with Ram, etc......
