Rear Floor Mat cut

My 2021 Laramie came with factory rubber floor-mats. I pulled them out today to wash and when I was going back in with them, I noticed there was a “cut here” emblem over the 4 sections that are directly over the tie downs on top of in floor storage bins. Just curious if anyone has cut these and how’d it turn out?

I noticed those too. I figured I'd cut them if I ever needed to use the tie-downs. So far after one year of ownership I haven't needed them yet.
