2024 ram 1500. This has happened a few times now. Probably would be more but I only drive her on the weekends. I also haven't had to use the ac a whole lot because of Tennessee crazy weather as of late.
Anyways, I can have the ac running the climate control will randomly shift the temp to 78. Turn the front and rear defrost on. It then will not allow any adjustments. At least if I try it'll just adjust the temp back to 78. Pressing the defrost buttons won't turn them off. I also can't turn the climate control off when this happens.
The 2 solutions i have found that work so far to remedy this situation. Turn the truck off completely it'll come back on still set at 78 with defrost on. Now I can adjust them or turn it off.
2nd I can press the power button for 15 seconds, system reboots. It comes back on at 78, defrost is on blah blah etc. Now I can adjust.
Anyone else have this issue, I'm assuming it's a software issue. It says it has the latest version. Maybe there is a setting I need to change though that's causing it to think it's to cold in the truck and kicks on the heat? Thank you anyone for help!
