I really feel like my stock shocks are too soft, so I have been looking at replacement options. I haven't seen a lot of information or reviews insofar as just replacement shocks for a stock 4x4; so I began looking at other options. Going back to my Jeep days, I had Bilstein 5100s that I didn't like and replaced them with Rancho RS9000 series (which I loved). Looking at the Rancho site this morning, I see they have the RS9000XLs available for the rear. For the front, Rancho has RS999953/54 Loaded Quick Lift Complete Strut assemblies (which are RS9000 series shocks); these also raise the front 2.0 inches. I'm curious if anyone here has tried the Rancho Option. The strut assemblies are $219 each and the shocks are $116 each; so total for all four would be around $550; much cheaper than the MOPAR 2" lift. At $550, it would still be pretty inexpensive even if I decided to buy MOPAR UCAs to go with it.
Has anybody tried the RANCHOs on a RAM yet? Thoughts? Should I just do the MOPAR 2" kit instead?
