I can only assume giant tires and a bad tune for the Shelby truck.

I agree that the tires and extra weight was a factor.
But ,the specs for HP and Torque are close. It does not have the displacement of the HEMI though.
5.0 liter Coyote that pushes out 755 HP and 640 lb-ft of torque.
6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI® engine that pushes out 710 HP and 645 lb-ft of torque.
The Turbo 3.5 EcoBoost was also very impressive!

Sure, but it should have beaten the Ecoboost based on it's reported hp. Based on the performance times of other examples, that Shelby was off.
