RAM Letters on tailgate

Any good ideas for getting rid of or minimizing the HUGE RAM letters on the tailgate of the 2025. So very disapointed they did that. Loved the rams head. And of course i tried to order the multifunction tailgate during the configuration process for functionality but more for the Rams head only, but they wouldn't allow that in Granite grey, infuriating.

Yea, that is the one part I hate the look of on the truck. Being there are alignment holds under the letters you can't remove them without body work and a repaint. Not sure if your's are Chrome or not but if so you could replace them with black ones or you can get vinyl overlays. I ordered some Matt Black Overlays but have not installed them yet. I was going to get Silver to match the truck but not sure how well the silver would match the actual paint color.

I know this is nuts, and i probably will not get far looking into it, but maybe reskin the tailgate with ram head compatible skin if it exists? And you are right, there are tons of holes for the lettering so cannot just remove them and be done. I will look into overlays initally. I have granite crystal color and see that for 2024 they had ram letters in that color, they cost about $300 yikes. I might pay it though, if they are the same size. Hopefully more options become available.

I just saw this in the notes for the granite painted letters...so that's a no go

Problem is they leave 15 alignment holes in the tailgate. Similar to this so not just removal.

Swap out the tailgate from an older 5th Gen. Might even be able to find the same color or switch with somone who wants the big letters. People swapoing hoods all the time. Tailgate is even easier.

Not sure i want a tailgate that is yes same color but old paint....i mean it's worth exploring

that would look slick with thee holes filled and painted. first thing did to my 5th gen was to remove the RAM from the doors.
ram on the steering wheel the grill the doors the tailgate. yo we get it it's a RAM.
all the trucks have a call out on the tailgate so i get it.
you could go with more of a ford look....i don't think it will work on a 2025

I’m glad I got the night edition. The black “Ram” is much more subtle than a truck with the chrome lettering. In truth I’m not a fan of that badging either. If I would have ordered a truck, I would have ordered one with the multi-function tailgate solely because that option reverts back to the rams head badge.

That's why i was very unhappy that i configured with a Multifunction tailgate mainly to get rid of huge chrome RAM on back but functionality of the tailgate is nice too. Only to at the very end when they plugged in Granite Crystal Metallic as color it greyed out the tailgate option as Not Available. Blew my mind. Only available in i think it was Red, White and Blue during configuration. Its BS.
