I am about to purchase a 2025 4X4 1500 with the new Hurricane Engine. The truck I will be ordering, will be a Big Horn crew cab with the 5.7 bed with the standard 18" wheels and it will be a loaded with the towing package, level 2 package, bed package, skid package, 33gallon fuel tank and with most all bells and whistles that are installed at the factory. What I really would like to know is, what MPG can I expect with the 3.55 gearing vs the 3.92 for both city and hwy. Anyone with either of these would know what the real mpg's are. According to Ram, the 3.55 and the 3.92 get the exact same mpg rating of 17/22 mpg. I am leaning on the 3.55 as I have always heard that the lower gear gets better mpg, but I could use the 3.92 for towing as it adds 4,000 lbs. more towing and that would help when towing a camper. If it really does get the same as the 3.55 that would be a big plus. Any input will be greatly appreciated as I value this forum for its good advice and information. Thanking you for your time in advance.

After 4,400 miles my lowest mileage was 16.4 the highest was 19.5 overall being 17.7 mpg hand calculated.
I have a Rebel that has 3.92 gears and 33" A/T tires so it's not mpg friendly.
The 3.0L runs stronger and gets better mileage than my 2023 Laramie with 5.7L , 3.92s with 22" rims.

I have a Laramie with the 3.55 rear. I have been averaging between 18.75-20mpg per tank full. This is about 1 mpg better than I was getting with my hemi with 3.21's.
