Ram 1500 gets IIHS Top Safety Pick

IIHS just released their list for the 2021 Top Safety Pick Plus and Top Safety Pick awards.

The Ram 1500 was the only full-size pickup to receive the Top Safety Pick award (no pickups in the Top Safety Pick Plus). Kudos to Ram for this accomplishment.

A little caveat...IIHS does note that this is for Ram 1500’s with the optional forward collision prevention. Still a big accomplishment for Ram.

Choices expand for safety-conscious consumers, as 90 vehicles earn IIHS awards

Forty-nine vehicles qualify for the 2021 Top Safety Pick+ award, and another 41 earn the Top Safety Pick designation.

For the second consecutive year, the Ram 1500 has earned a "Top Safety Pick" rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Not only was the Ram 1500 the first pickup to achieve the rating last year, but now is the first pickup to achieve the rating in back-to-back years.
