I don‘t have the cai yet(!), just the cat back. Startup is thunderous (love my remote start more than ever👹). As it appears, the exhaust has been accepted by the misses, or at least she realized I was gonna get it anyway. If being considerate is a consideration, I’d think summer cold starts are less loud than winter cold starts and it allows your environment to warm up to it slowly. Timing is everything. If you start your truck and quickly put it in “R” it will reduce the time of your loud “music” since the rpm‘s will go down. Frist tuen onto the highway out of town…. Priceless. I don’t care about speed anymore. I’ve done 150mph at the German autobahn back in the days and it was fun (btw, I was driving a Fiat so BMW, Mercedes, get out of my way. Or that VW Passat VR 6 trying to stay ahead and later keep up, good luck with that). This cat back exhaust sounds like you’re going fast without actually going fast and it’s all I need for my overdue midlife crisis fix. So there, get it. Get it now and avoid having to think you should have gotten it sooner.
Btw… my mpg’s went down, because well, that roar tends to be addictive.

I’ve had mine on for 2 months….definitely feel the difference in throttle response…..if I keep it around 72-75 about 1.5/2 mpg gain….here is the biggest gain I FEEL AND NOTICED….I have an flowmaster OUTLAW muffler and deleted the mid resonator…we all know about that crazy DRONE in the low gear or downshifting WITH AFTER MARKET EXHAUSTS…..IT’S GONE…..When I’m cursing around town now 15-25 mph all i hear now is that Hemi muscle deep car rumble that definitely gets heads to turn….well worth the money…..my local dealership sold to me at cost….

Well - this is what K&N says:
K&N intake kits are guaranteed to increase your vehicle’s horsepower and torque, and K&N performs rigorous in-house testing to ensure that each kit meets high-performance standards. Published dynamometer charts are available on individual product pages to help estimate performance gains.

Does the RAM Air Flow intake use the same feature as the Vararam, channeling air from behind the grill? How would this affect those with active shutters? Also, if purchasing the RAM Air Flow CAI, any special hood needed? I do like the look of having the intake on top.

Thanks again!

Oem, comes factory on GT's, looks cool. Mixed it with the matching GT exhaust at the same time. Did i gain anything? Maybe. I can tell you i have 3:92's and a heavy foot i get 17.5-19 mpg driving it like i want to.

Better money of the 2 is the GT exhaust.
