Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2021 Ram 1500 with flood damage. Flood line came just over the carpet. I am getting a “service power steering” alert on the dash. I assume this is from the water damage. No other issues thus far. My question is, are there any other steps I can take besides ordering a new rack and pinion? I unplugged the connectors from the rack and pinion motor and sprayed with contact cleaner. Still having issues turning the wheel. And when I do attempt to turn it, I can hear the motor in the rack and pinion but no movement. Sounds like a blown motor? Any other steps I can take? Any help would be appreciated!
