I've been looking at exhaust tips, and as near as I can tell they are mostly designed to either make the exhaust louder or look better or both. So don't hate me, but I'd like for it to be quieter. Does anyone make tips like that? Maybe with extra baffles built in? Or right angle pointed down at the road? Suggestions?

They do make DB reducer style tips with a baffle. Your best bet is to check with your local muffler shop and see what they have in stock or could order for you. They can weld them on your stock rear resonators in place of your stock tips.
You could also look into adding additional resonators either downstream or upstream of your stock muffler, which is likely to have a larger effect than your than tips.
