Just got my truck last Thursday. I was cleaning it yesterday for the first time and noticed some things.
My first issue i found a screw under my drivers seat. Anyone know what this may be?

The next thing i noticed was when i was washing the roof i saw my panoramic sunroof was abit off. Is this normal or should i have this looked at?

Any help would be really appreciated. Loving the truck so far.

it does not look as though the screw was ever fastened, sometimes a droppeed screw takes too long to pick up.

assemblers will have that screw and several others for whatever task they are doing.

i went through the Corvette assembly plant and was amazed as i watched them build the cars.

Okay I'll call the dealer and make an appointment. Hopefully not a big issue, it just got delivered a week ago. Do you think anything could have been damaged if the water was getting into the roof?

I don't think so. Any water that would have gone through would probably have been exited out the 4 drains, one on each corner. While it is in the shop, have them make sure the 2 drains between the cab and the bed were installed correctly. It seems like a large majority of these drains were not installed correctly which allows water to get behind the rear seat, causing mold to grow in some cases. If the drains look like the picture below, they need to be fixed.18936

The sunroof should be flush and needs to be addressed by the dealer.
The bolt does not appear to have ever been installed. It is not uncommon to find "extra" hardware in new vehicles from the assembly line. The make ready team at the dealership should have caught that, but some slip through the crack sometimes. I found an extra rear seat bolt and a grill bolt on mine.

One thing to try prior to wasting your time at the dealership is to open the sunroof and close it to see if that fixes the issue. Just wondering if something happened on the last close

I'd actually suggest the opposite, because if it's going to break, I'd want it to be them that breaks it, and it would already be at the dealer as well.

You still might want to put some silicone on them if you get even a hint of water in the cab. If you look at your lower picture, you can see the gap around the grommet where the top of it is not flush with the sheet metal. That's caused by the gap being slightly thicker than the cab right there and by the downward flex the tube is putting on the grommet.
I had a little leakage after checking mine and spent a few hours on a Saturday pulling the rear seats, back carpet, subwoofer, and thoroughly siliconing both drains. They are absolutely waterproof now.

I don’t think my pano is that off but I don’t think mine sits completely flush either. Guess I’ll check when I get back in town.

Just dropped the truck at the dealership. The service advisor looked at the roof and said it is normal and water is supposed to leak in and go into the drains. Does this seem right?

Yes, a small amount of water that will leak in but I still don't think your sunroof is aligned 100%. After your previous post, I specifically look at my sunroof and it is perfectly flush, front glass to rear glass. It looks as though you have a 2mm-3mm ledge between the 2 panels. I guarantee you, if you look at other trucks on the lot with the panoramic sunroof, there will not be a ledge like yours. I will try to take a picture of mine after work to show the difference between yours and one that sits flush.

So i ended up just trying ti fix it myself. Only took a few minutes. I got a T-25 and loosened the bolt in the picture below just abit. I then push down on the sunroof and re-tightened it. It is much better now sitting almost flush.

You should send them a bill for the labor. $144/hr with a minimum 2 hours.

Ridiculous that the dealer did not fix that for you.
these will be good though for if any of us are still keeping our trucks past the warranty phase and we want to DIY it
