I am redoing a 2012 Ram 1500. Can you tale a ram 2017 Ram 2500 tailgate and put on it? If so will I need a special wiring harness for the back up camera. The 1500 does not have one. I'm upgrading it all. Is @Jimmy 07 still in this group also? This is my first time redoing a truck. It's been learn as you go kind of experience. Lol Thanks

You might have better luck asking in the 4th Gen site instead of the 5th Gen site.

From what I know about 4th gens, the tail light openings are the same between 1500 and 2500 trucks. If memory serves me right I don't think LED tail lights came on any 2012 Ram 1500 so I would assume that if the 2017 2500 tail lights are incandescent they should work in your 2012 1500, assuming the connectors are the same. But you really need to ask this in a 4th gen forum.
