Question for Ram 2020 remote start owners

For those of you that have the remote start capability after you start it does the AC come on when you start the truck or does it activate when you open the door?
I had my remote start activated at the dealer(needed a new module under the headliner) and the AC only comes on after the door is opened.

That doesn’t sound right. It should be activating AC if the truck thinks it’s >=80deg. outside.

Yup the AC should be working on remote start. Mine works, but I thought it would blow hard until I open the door because it’s hot as hell outside. It’s not doing that anymore now.

I have a 2022 now so it starts AC inmediately, however I had a 2019 and it also started with AC

My climate system will come on with remote start. It come on with whatever it was set on when the truck was turned off.

The heated seats will turn on automatically is it's below a certain temp outside.

the ac turns on with remote start. But this new Freon doesn’t cool well until you drive, so it doesn’t help too much

It depends on outside temperature as well. Below 40 degrees, and heater/defrost turn on full.

Above 80 and A/C should come on full.

Edit: just remote started and it went full blast

Is there a setting to make the ac come on full? My blower comes on with the last setting when I turned off the engine.

Yes, it turns on but I believe it's also a setting in the vehicle menu. Might be under comfort or something like that.

I think there is a setting in the center stack for the HVAC system, seats, steering wheel, etc. to come on with remote start.. but it doesn't let you choose what it does. IF the temp is below 40 or above 80 it kicks on. Once you press the run button it will go back to whatever you had it set to. In my truck, the driver's seat only and steering wheel will stay at whatever the truck wants (level 1 cooling in my case..) not what you had them set to last.

The ac appears to be running when the truck is remote started. The ac indicator light does not come on until I open the door but the air is cold coming out. I have the manual temp dial. The radio screen also comes to life after the door is opened. I am probably over reacting not having had a remote start vehicle before.

Since this thread is pretty fresh, I'll ask the question: Can Auto-on Comfort settings be modified?

From what I gather the only setting I have is: Disabled, Remote Start, & All Starts.
Otherwise Auto-on comfort will either:
>80°F outside: Blast my AC/Butt Fan, or
<40°F outside: Blast my Heat/Butt Warmer.

Is there no other customization?
Can I change the temperature activation? I'm Floridian, 59.9° is cold.
Can I have it heat/cool the passenger seat too?

It should come on at whatever you've left it at when you turned it off. Exception if the battery is low/dead or dying, then it will all be off.
