Since I bought my Rebel in 2018 (2019 model) I have been singing it's praises. I've loved just about everything about it. But I've gotta say, the shine has fully come off. I have had the notorious exhaust manifold leaks 3 times now from broken bolts. The latest fix took months waiting for the "new and improved" kit from mopar. Last fall it became "stuck" in 4x4 and required a complete rebuild of the front end for about $4k. This spring, the back up camera died. Now, this summer, the rear end has gone out requiring a complete rebuild or a the replacement of the entire rear axel assembly with a used one for about $4k. We're talking about 100k miles of normal truck usage and over $12k in repairs in 100k miles. My confidence in this brand is shaken and I'm curious if others have seen similar quality problems.

That's odd for the front and rears to go out. Were you changing fluids (t-case, front diff, rear diff) at regular intervals?

Yeah, the truck is well maintained which is why it's so frustrating. The front was definably not fluid related per the shop. The rear is still on the lift being diagnosed but they've seen enough to suggest a full rebuild or replacement.

That's really odd. I've had a ton of issues with my 19 Rebel (rear window, manifolds, eTorque, etc). I have about 75K and knock wood, the front/rear/tcase, have been OK.

What made them suspect something with the rear? For the 4WD issue, that SHOULD be t-case related, not front end.

I have had the rear differential clunk since new, has been working OK so far. Did the front axle actuator fail, should not require a total rebuild as far as I know.
You might want to get a second opinion... just me, not trusting.

If it makes you feel any better, the 21' F150 Platinum I had needed over $6k of repairs with only 48,000 miles on it....

Weird though the front went out and then the rear. I wonder if problems in the front made the issues in the rear?

That makes no sense, possible? not likely, to me it sounds like someone is being taken an advantage of.

I agree with this. I'd have some trust issues. As much as these trucks have problems, the front and rear axles have been known to be pretty solid.
