Programming key fob

I have idea,to buy a new key fob,for programming to remote open tailgate. Is it possible using AlphaOBD? I have now only 5 button key fob (Lock/Unlock, air suspension down, remote start and panic button) Want to buy on 6 button with remote open tailgate

No, it needs the dealer to program it for the 5th gens

I bought the key fob and had it programmed by a locksmith and tailgate opens no need to do anything else as long as your ram came with the tailgate shock absorber so it doesn’t just drop when open I also just swapped the roof console that has the tailgate open button and will confirm it works without any programming I have a 2021 ram 1500 big horn
