First post here. I recently got a set of OEM LED housings 2019+. I bought them off facebook marketplace and the guy threw in the morimoto adapter harness.

I take the whole truck apart and get the new housings and harness plugged in and get it all put back together.

My turn signals work as they should BUT ONLY WHEN THE TRUCK IS OFF. When the truck is started, and in any headlight position, the front turn signals do not work and you get the hyperflash indicator on the display inside the truck. Both the mirror and rear turn signals function as they should without any hyperflash.

Looking at the other adapter harness from retroshop and other sites, they all seem to include what appears to be load resistors. The morimoto harness does not include load resistors. Is this my issue? Do I just need to order the $200 harness with load resistors from the retroshop?

Thanks for reading, and merry christmas!!

Maybe this will help

Thank you for the reply! There is 2 connectors coming off the original headlight harness. I mistakenly plugged in both connectors to the morimoto harness. So I think there is a high probability that my issue lies there. I am currently out of town for the next 3 weeks (crossing fingers) so I won't be able to verify that's my issue until then. I am wondering if I should also just bite the bullet and purchase the retro shop harness that appears to have load resistors built into the harness. Also I keep reading members are having to change settings for the light upgrade using alfaOBD...is that always required?

I would get the adapter harness from @Jimmy07 here on the forum, change all settings in AlfaOBD to led lights and your system works just like OEM. Did mine 2 years ago and not one problem.
