Not a fan of the system so far. I hauled my boat today for a total cleaning. Went to re-launch it and screen advised I needed to perform a calibration. Drove around for 10 minutes and the screen went back to normal. I assume I simply missed a message that calibration had completed. Using the dial I backed up the boat with no problems to the hose bib and washed it. Got back in truck and pulled forward to line up with ramp and system said calibration was needed. At that point I'd had enough. I opened the tailgate which cancels the system and backed it up the old way. What the hell happened? The system is supposed to remember the trailer!

What’s worse is if it works and you unload your boat it automatically needs calibration again because it won’t see the boat and gets confused. Sure the heck ain’t gonna drive around and let it calibrate again before reloading.

I find the system mostly useless. Only time I found it useful was when I went down a remote forest road and had no turn around. Made backing up a long distance very easy.

I have no problems backing without but thought it might be a useful feature. I won’t be wasting my money on my next truck. The trailer TPMS is very useful but that’s about it.

Trailer Reverse steering might work great for a large travel trailer but useless for a boat.

I tried mine for the first time this weekend it seems to work well but hard to get used to as it doesnt turn as sharp as I would doing it manually and some places you have to turn very sharp almost jackknifing
