I've been slowly figuring out the bells and whistles on the new limited over the last few days and the power running boards could use a few more settings. I never noticed how much I open and close my doors on the truck when it's parked until now. I love the running boards but they could use an auto setting to keep them deployed when the truck is parked. I haven't tried it but I know there is a button I can use to push to make them deploy but I don't know if they will stay that way after you exit or not but it would sure be nice to have an auto setting to do it for me if I want them to. I know if they are out they will retract once you get over 5 mph. I suppose it's a safety feature but it sure would be nice. Idea for Tazer DT maybe... I'd probably buy one if they had added features for the running board deployment. What's your guys' thoughts?

There is an option to manually deploy them in the uconnect screen, and they will not retract when you get out of the truck. They will stay deployed until you drive the truck or manually retract them. I raise my suspension up to OR2, then deploy the steps when parking in a crowded parking lot. It helps reduce door dings.

Work smarter not harder! Good thinking!
