Does anyone have a 2025 with power multifunction tailgate? My new Longhorn is supposed to have it but the power raise of the tailgate doesn't work, only the power release/lower. Any inpit will be greatly appreciated.

The one I have is down only. Check your window sticker. They may have deleted it. Check if there is some sort of button on the left side of the tailgate. The power up models have a manual switch like SUV's.

there is an option for disabling the power close tailgate in the touchscreen menu, but as others have said, the MFT may not have it. Also holding the tailgate release button on the remote should close it.

Sorry to jump your thread OP, but is this an option on older Gen 5 trucks, power up?
My 23 Limited has MFT and tailgate down…but pressing twice, holding on second press just activates the unlock feature…

Didn’t know power up was an option.

Thanks very much everyone for all the feedback, and I am now coming to terms with the fact that the MFT doesn't have the Power Up feature, but I wish that Mother MOPAR would be indelibly clear about this, Yes or No.

Even my dealer friend isn't sure about this, and he's reached out to the Ram folks that should be in the know, but to date, no answer. If, stressing if, I get a conclusive answer from the Corporate Crew, I'll post it here.

I gotta be honest… in just over a year of owning mine (Aug 2023) I’ve probably lowered the tailgate either by the button overhead or the key fob less than a handful of times.
I am, however, getting better at using the MFT, opening it up L&R instead of just lowering the whole tailgate.

Over 18 years of full size RAM ownership…. Dropping a tailgate is like riding a bike.
The ability to split open and get “in” your truck bed is simply amazing.

Sorry to take this one off track.

After seeing this I plan on swapping to a tailgate with the manual handle. I can't stand the electric tailgate handle.
