I did the conversion from Non power fold to power fold almost everything seems to function correctly. I do have some questions though.

1- The new mirrors are a 4 wire signal with the old mirrors being a 2 wire. Door modules and BCM have been upgraded. The turn signal part of the signal light is working, however the running light is not. Do I need to go in and turn on: CBC Features - Side Mirror Repeater used as side markers: from No to Yes?

2 - Is this a light or what (Circled in red in image attached). How does it work? Do I need to do something specific for it to operate?

There is no running light on 1500 mirrors. The light on the bottom comes on when you unlock the doors or open them.

I'm not talking about the puddle lights, those work. The light circled is on the side of the mirror arm, same side as the mirror itself.

What vehicle do you have? Are those the backup lights for trailers? I'm not sure those are on 1500s.

Yes, it's a 1500. That's what I understand that they are is some sort of backup light for trailer use.

Do I have to have a trailer connected for them to operate, or do they come on when the truck is in reverse or when in reverse with the lights on?

I'd like to make them function, seems like a waste if they do nothing.
