Hi! I was removing the plastic rear view mirror cup and it slipped and scratched the face of the piano black plastic trim and the top right of the uconnect 5 (12").
Hardly noticeable .5 cm but to me....it's upsetting.
Has anyone had this and had success in resolving?
Ideas:
Do nothing.
Get a scratch liquid "remover" and give it a go
Is there a different overlay type of thing that get be laid overtop? Not a huge fan of the black gloss trim so an overlay of some sort would be cool, but I haven't found anything.

Ideas, or feedback very much appreciated!

Search eBay and Amazon. You will find a ton of overlays for everything in the interior. So yes, there is many options for the bezel. I've seen people wrap them like you would the exterior, paint them, and dip them.

I thought so, and I just couldn't believe I couldn't find any....user error, obviously. Back to the search then, and thanks for the response.

I've attached a picture (stock photo) and just drew where the little scratch is. This piano black trim piece appears to be removable but I can't find any info or confirm this, nor have I been able to find any overlay, although I've seen that for the outer areas of that display. If there is any more feedback or ideas, I'd be grateful.

Oh, it's that piece. No, it's not removable or sold separately. You have to pull the whole center stack out and remove every component.

Yikes

Well I'll work on reducing it's visibility with a liquid cutter.....tried some last nignt. Didnt seem to do anything but didnt hurt either. Pulling all that out us just asking for trouble. thanks again for the response.

I’ve saw good retailers polish that gloss black radio surround to get out fine scratches. Not sure how deep yours is
