I have seen so much conflicting info it is driving me crazy! I have a 2021 Ram 1500 4x4 Night Edition and am looking to do my first upgrades ever lol. I am looking to do a 2" level in the front (spacers) and my 1st question is do I need to replace the control arms as well? Next hurdle is I want to add new tires to my existing 20x9 wheels and do not want to use spacers. I do not want to go that big but was thinking 285/60/20 in a Nitto, Toyo or BFG KO2. Does anyone run this setup or know if this size tire will work without rubbing or any issues? I have some that say size will work fine and others that say it may rub on control arm and that I should stick with a 275. Thanks for the help!

control arm - yes if your truck has the off-road group otherwise no, you would be fine with stock control arms

I have a 2021 Limited- air ride, 3.21 gears, no off road package. I went to 285/60/20 Nitto Recon Grapplers. Didn‘t touch the suspension and I get no rubbing at all, no issues whatsoever. I did swap out the wheels though, same 20x9 size but with a +1 offset +19 stock. That extra 3/4” sticking out may make the difference between rub and no rub. More info here:

I got the 285/60/20's installed yesterday and they look great. No rugging at all on the stock wheels! The UPA's are very close to the tire sidewall but I can slip a finger between them so I think I will be fine! I really like the stock wheels and swapped to black lug nuts as well. If I have an issue I will just go to a +1 offset wheel.

Sounds great, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to see pics if you have any. Did you go with the 2” level as planned or is the suspension all stock?
