Looking to buy/build a new 2025 Ram. It'll be a daily driver with small travel trailer camping several times a year. Multi-funciton lets me open the bed better while hitched, and useful for grabbing crap out of it. Ramboxes cleanly hold the towing equipment and more.

Why choose one or the other get both. Just make sure you’re gonna have enough payload for what you’ll be towing. Do if you plan on having the pano sunroof but you cant skip that if payload is a concern.

I definitely don’t want the sunroof. I know I could get both. This is More of a what-if scenario to see what people overall would prefer. $1000 is $1000, if I need to trim one off.

$1000 is nothing compared to what you’ll be paying for the truck. You’ll be happy you checked that extra box when/if the time to use either the tailgate or rambox.. it’s not like you can easily add it later on thats also assuming you know the space you’ll lose in the bed with the rambox option equipped.

I knew I needed the Rambox feature for my day to day life slightly regret not getting the multi tailgate but with the deal I got and the truck being 98% the way I would of spec’d it sitting locally on the lot I way okay with it.

I like ‘em both.
But frankly…and this is just me, not using my truck to haul much, I don’t use the bed all the time.. if I were forced to make a choice, it’d be Ram Boxes over MFT.

Keep stuff out of the cab, not rolling around in the bed…. Dry grocery trip storage… beverage and ice holder.. lol.
Yeah, I’d pick the boxes over the MFT if I had to. Glad I didn’t have to on my truck :)

6’4” bed (can’t get ram box) and MFT.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. If I factory order I’ll do both. If I lot search, I’ll look for ram boxes as priority.

Sounds like you made a decision but I'll add to the other replies. The MFT is very nice to have and I'd miss it if the truck didn't have it. But the Rambox option is what I'd choose if I was forced to make a choice between the two. The extra storage is only half of what I use it for. The bed divider/extender is just as useful for how I use our truck.

Mikeru82 brings up a better point.
The cargo hold/bed divider is awesome… no more boxes sliding up to the front of the truck… and cargo is kept from sliding around.
I’ve had the RamBox setup for 9 years now. In my 2008 and 2006…and other trucks before it, it’s been a while since I had to crawl up in the bed to get a box, kid’s toy, etc., from the front of the bed, or I’ve had to listen to things sliding back and forth in the bed as I took off and came to a stop. Good Call Miker.
