The V6 eTorque System Is Now Standard On Premium Ram 1500s...

A month ago, 5thGenRams.com posted some spy photos from our friends at Real Fast Fotography that showed a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited models without HEMI badges and single exhaust. We figured it might be a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 tester for the premium trim levels, and we were right.

MoparInsiders.com contributor Ryan Dodd, came across the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited Build & Price configurator that has been quietly updated. It seems that now you can get not just 2019 Ram 1500 Limited trim level pickups with standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 power, but it is also now standard on the high-acclaimed Laramie Longhorn trim package as well.

Yeah, the V6 has been available to order as the base engine on all trims since the week of August 10th. Only took Ram 1.5 months to update the build & price site!

My guess is that most of the dealers will continue ordering the Hemi until gas prices go up or customer demand for the V6 rises. I would have considered the V6 had it been available. The Pentastar is a good motor, with plenty of power for normal use. It has 100 more HP than than the V6 I had in my 1999 F150 Sport 4x4.

I went into a dealer in edmonton and you cant order the v6 in anything more than a bighorn still. Its really annoying me
