My 2020 Limited required a battery replacement at 5200 miles!! I spent the better part of a Friday afternoon at the dealer while they "diagnosed" a dead battery that would not hold a charge. After replacement and getting the truck back, I immediately noticed most of the uConnect modules were missing (cameras, climate controls, many settings function). I went immediately back to dealer who was as puzzled as I. They "flashed" the system with no success and I was left with making an additional appointment for the following Monday to troubleshoot/fix the issues. At home in the garage, 90 minutes later, and while speaking with uConnect (who is very responsive), all modules on the system (magically) returned to their pre-battery-replacement state. Apparently, it can take up to an hour and a half for uConnect to reload after such a battery replacement. I was very surprised my dealer had no idea of this reload. Pay attention when replacing your battery, which some of you 5th-gen owners will have to do.

There are a few you tube videos on this. Anytime you disconnect the battery there is a delay on the electronics. Might have to let it sit overnight.

Negative. Techs were knowledgeable, but obviously did not know this basic piece of information.

Can also take this long after an update.....

Yep... been there and done that a few times. I actually replaced my good battery with a Northstar today. Everything works on mine except the A/C temp won't work for about an hour, then it all fixes itself. There might be some other stuff not working correctly, but the A/C is the only thing that jumps out at me.

Wow, glad I came across this. I was wondering why my settings were empty with no options. Installed a Pedal Monster (disconnected battery) right before this.

These new trucks with all the software and connected services require time to reboot and restore.

It can take even longer if you have a factory NAV unit.
