I apologize if this has been covered. I know there’s a few posts in adding passive entry but there’s over a thousand posts between the threads.

I have a 19 Laramie 1500. It has passive entry. Only on the front drivers and passenger doors. Is there a way to add it to the rear doors as well. My wife’s Mercedes can be unlocked from any door and it’s just a bit easier with putting the kids in the car seats.

Thanks for any help.

It's being looked into, but nothing yet.

I was looking into this. The hardest part seems to be figuring out how to get the wiring to work (ie, there is no harness available....you'd have to basically tap into the one for the driver/passenger front door and run them in parallel).

If the Passive Entry is set up to unlock all the doors, Then
putting your hand inside the front handle unlocks it without
opening the door, but the rear doors are unlocked and can
be opened. Unless you have your hands full, I don't see
a problem with this procedure.

Since 99.9% of the time it is only Me getting in, I have it set
to just unlock the Drivers Door. If I go to the Passenger door,
then all Doors are unlocked.

At least for me, I have a bag for work. Every time I have to grab the driver door, then go to the back door to put my bag away. If I'm walking from the front of the truck no big deal, but from the back of the truck you have to walk up (yeah yeah it's 2 feet) then back.
