Hi - thinking about ordering a new 2019, but have a question about park assist. Anyone know how much space it needs to label a spot as "parkable". I park a lot in the city, and sometimes parallel parking is the only option and park assist would be great. Bu will I be looking for a 40 ft. space in order for park assist to take control?

TIA - and for the great site!

You can YouTube the park assist feature and see the type of spaces people are getting into. My park assist will go into spots I would pass up. These are big trucks, and the park assist seems to work well.

Keep in mind that you can park your truck a lot faster without using the park assist. I find it pretty worthless. Squeezing your truck in tight spots leads to door dings and damage.

Thanks for reply. Agreed about the tight spots - I'd be using it for parallel parking, and just trying to see if it will even engage at all w/some of the tight tolerances/gaps I have to park in sometimes. I use a rear step-hitch that does a pretty good job protecting the back, and a front license plate 'pad' to prevent as many bumper scratches as I can. So far I've been pretty lucky.
